Saturday night provided a good excuse and put the best threads on, have a good time - and support a good cause while we were at it. Todd,
Nic and Tarns did a great job organising what was a great night. There were no spare tickets (and that was only after a few days of trying to sell them) and they ended up raising an amazing £3000 for
MacMillan Cancer Support (who provide practical support to those a
affectedby cancer) - great effort guys! The event went very smoothly and I didn't see anyone
who wasn't having a great time.
And we also got see the debut of DJ Liquid 8 - known to most of us as Toddy. With a lot of nerves and even more concentration, he played three impressive sets, really hitting his straps with his last. Hopefully we are lucky enough to have a repeat of one of these events....

Interesting name... Liquidate is a bar on the Terrace where I've seen Todd suck back the odd Founder's Tall Blonde.
Always knew T wud come up trumps on the DJ name - nice. We were at The Liquid rooms in Ed just last week checkin out Sal Dub for a pounding gig - ears rang and rang and rang for days! Keen to hear some of the new liquid 8 sounds for sure.
Is it true that the Captain's first choice of stage name was MasterB-8 but this was already appropriated by an Italian guy in Wellington wearing a burgandy suit and moonlighting as a balcony dancer at Ecstacy Plus...
